Malfalda Arrivabene's life is a tapestry woven from centuries of Venetian splendor. As a descendant of the Italian royal house of Savoy, she's long called the city's Palazzo Papadopoli home, a majestic abode on the Grand Canal. In 2013, the palazzo transformed into an Aman hotel, and Malfalda's family moved to the top floor, where they still reside.

A heritage legacy

Malfalda's sisters, Viola and Vera, have built a shoe brand, Vibi Venezia, crafting modern versions of classic Venetian slippers. Their father, Count Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga, founded Giberto Venezia, a line of Murano glassware that began as a passion project and has since grown into a thriving homeware business.

Now, Malfalda has joined her father's enterprise, overseeing global development strategy as they aim to bring their exquisite glass creations to a broader, more international audience. Giberto Venezia has a flagship store on Venice's Rialto Bridge No. 2, but this year, they've ventured further afield, opening pop-ups in New York and Palm Beach.
